Letters
Personal mail such as letters, pictures, and drawings should be sent to the following address where it will be scanned in and sent to the defendant’s tablet account; envelopes must include the defendant’s first and last name along with your full return address:

Books must NOT contain images or content that are considered excessively violent, pornographic or obscene. Any book that does not meet the Johnson County Correctional Facility standards will be disposed of.
Magazines and newspapers will not be accepted.
Hard cover books will not be accepted by the jail due to their potential to be used as a weapon.
When ordering online, include their SO# after their last name in the last name field.

Photographs
Photographs can be sent to the address below, or can be sent through the GTL Getting Out app by tapping the plus sign to the left of the chat box and select “Share Photo”. Photos sent to the address below will be scanned in and then sent to the defendant’s tablet account for viewing.

Mark the envelope “Legal Mail” and include the attorney’s name and bar number. Staff may inspect legal mail for contraband in the inmate’s presence but may not read the contents. For questions about whether an item qualifies as legal mail, call 817-556-6000.
Visitation
Johnson County Corrections Facility is located at:

Visits are available daily from 6:30 am-9:00 pm, but visit days vary by housing placement. Defendants can recieve 2 visits per week. Visitors must be on the defendant’s visiting list and register in advance at http://johnsoncountytx.gtlvisitme.com/.
After registering, the visitor must call the facility at 817-556-6000 and be transferred to the visitation desk to get approved. Once approved, they may schedule a visit. Visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Visitation rules and dress code are posted on the registration site.

Calls
Create an account on www.connectnetwork.com. Using the “AdvancePay Phone” service to add funds to your phone number so you’ll be able to receive calls. Send your number to the defendant through messaging, a family member, or a friend.
